Synopsis of The Lonely Guy
Larry, a young writer, feels depressed after discovering that his girlfriend is sleeping with another man, while his best friend Warren is a hypochondriac. Two lonely sad men went to a "lonely men's club" in New York. Later, Larry wrote a book that turned "loneliness" into a "love prescription", and his entire life suddenly changed. Comedies directed by Arthur Shearer have always performed well. This film is mainly about Steve Martin's solo performance, and his co-star Charles Grodin is too low-key to create sparks of laughter.
