Synopsis of I, Daniel Blake

59-year-old Daniel Blake (Dave Johns), a carpenter, needs to apply for social assistance for the first time in his life due to heart problems. Although his doctor prohibited him from continuing to work, he decided to risk a fine and find a job. In the process of his repeated visits to the "Job Center" to apply for a job, he met Katie (Hayley Squires), a single mother who needs to take care of two children.
