Synopsis of Magnum P.I. Season 1

The reboot drama "Magnum P.I." is similar in style to "Hawaii Five-0". It is also set in Hawaii, but the protagonists are private detectives. The old version was broadcast from 1980 to 1988. The new version is written by Peter Lenkov and Eric Guggenheim and directed by Lin Yibin. The protagonists in this version are still the Gang of Four, but unlike the old version, they are all men, but changed to three men and one woman. The plot tells the story of Thomas Magnum (played by Jay Hernandez), a decorated former soldier. A member of the Navy SEALs, he put his military skills to use as a private detective after returning from Afghanistan, and his partners included former veterans Theodore "TC" Calvin and Orville "Rick" Wright, as well as ex-MI6 agent Juliet Higgins, who was removed from the service.
