Synopsis of Local Hero
The film describes an American businessman who was ordered by his company to come to the coast of Mangolan to negotiate for the acquisition of land to build an oil factory. The local customs and cultural relics and the daily life of the residents were incompatible with him, a city dweller, and he found the trip boring. Unexpectedly, the president of the company changed his mind after visiting the town in person and wanted to open an astronomy college there. After the businessman returned to his apartment in the United States, he couldn't help but think back to the endless coast of England.
