Synopsis of Sukiyaki Western

After the decisive battle of Genpei Danpo, the Heike family fled into the mountains and established Yuda Village. Since then, he has not left the mountain for hundreds of years, living a life of seclusion in the Taoyuan. However, their peaceful life was broken by outsiders one after another. It was widely rumored that Yutian Village contained gold and silver treasures that could be used for the Heijia's comeback, which attracted greedy and cruel people to gather here. Soon, Taira Kiyomori (played by Sato Hiroshi), a descendant of the Taira family, came with his troops to drive away the treasure hunters. But Taira Kiyomori was by no means a kind person. He used more cruel methods to force the local tribesmen to reveal the location of the treasure, and he did not hesitate to kill innocent people for this purpose. Not long after, the Heike's rival Yoshitsune Sumoto (played by Iseya Yusuke) arrived here with his troops. The two sides started a series of melees to compete for the treasure, making it difficult for the local people to live and fled one after another. The arrival of the mysterious lone gunman (played by Hideaki Ito) breaks the balance between the two sides, and Yutian Village becomes increasingly unstable... The film won the second place for Best Film at the 2008 Asian Fantasy Film Festival, and the 2008 Daily Movie Award for Best Art Direction and Best Technology.
