Synopsis of The Nasty Girl

Sonia (Lena Stolze) is a female student in a high school in Bavaria, Germany. In order to participate in the essay competition, she collected information everywhere and prepared to write an essay on the topic "Hometown under the Third Reich" . But as the investigation deepened, she encountered more and more resistance. Neither the villagers nor government officials want Sonia to reveal the town's Nazi past. Sonia's family and love were under tremendous pressure, and she herself was taken to court by the government. Overnight, the innocent girl in everyone's eyes seemed to have turned into a bad girl that everyone hated... Adapted from real events, this film won the 1991 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and the 1990 Berlin Film Festival Silver Bear Award.
