Synopsis of Lotus Lantern Prequel
Yao Ji (played by Liu Tao), the sister of the Jade Emperor, had a private life-long marriage with the mortal scholar Yang Tianyou (played by Li Guangjie) and gave birth to three children. After learning all this, the furious Jade Emperor (played by Wang Weiguo) killed Yang Tianyou and pressed Yao Ji under the Peach Mountain to never be reincarnated. Fortunately, Nezha arrived in time and rescued Yao Ji's children Yang Jian (played by Jiao Enjun) and Yang Chan (played by Zhou Yang) from the Jade Emperor's butcher knife. After growing up, Yang Jian became Master Taiyi's apprentice and acquired an extraordinary skill. Yang Jian wanted to save his mother, but he didn't expect that the Jade Emperor sent ten suns to kill Yao Ji. The angry Yang Jian made a fuss in the heaven, and the Jade Emperor sent a flood.
