Synopsis of Seraphim Falls

After the outbreak of the Civil War, Carver, a southern officer played by Neeson, led four followers on a murderous road, while Gideon, played by Pierce Brosnan, fled all the way. The battle between the two sides began in the Rocky Mountains of Nevada and continued to the desolate desert of New Mexico. In the process, Carver's followers died one after another, and the two protagonists were also tortured... Gideon, wearing a bulky leather coat, nestled in the snowy mountain facing a fire to keep warm. Next to him was a listless old horse and a rifle used to save his life. The three brothers listened to the wind in silence until Carver's bullet came from Gideon's head flew past, prompting Gideon to run away in a hurry. Just as he ran into the depths of the jungle in panic, the second bullet that arrived later pierced his left arm. He lost his balance and staggered down the waterfall... When Gideon struggled to get up from the biting river water and used a sharp knife to pick out the bullets from the flesh and blood, a primitive American society was in this cruel state. It was shown in a scene and raised a huge question mark to the audience - why did the hatred between the two people arise? The director's hint to the audience is that Carver's deep hatred for Gideon may symbolize the root cause of the civil war...
