Synopsis of Arizona Dream

Axel (played by Johnny Depp), a young man working in New York, had a dream in which he saw an Inuit man passed out on the ice field. A sled dog rescued him, and a red balloon kept floating in the sky... Axel is obsessed with acting. His friend Paul (Vincent Gallo) comes to visit and invites him to Arizona to marry his uncle Leo. Leo has been working in the car business in Arizona for many years, leaving Axel and Paul to work in the car dealership. Soon Axel got acquainted with the mother and daughter Elena (Faye Dunaway) and Grace, who had different personalities. In order to help Elena realize her dream of flying, Axel stayed at the home of the mother and daughter, trying to make various aircraft. Starting over from failure, the quarrel between the neurotic mother and daughter has always been with him. In Axel's dream, a fish shuttles and soars in the sky... Elena finally gets a small plane. At the celebration party, Axel expresses his love to Grace, which leads to an unexpected ending. The film won the Silver Bear Award at the 1993 Berlin Film Festival.
