Synopsis of The Sound of a Flower

Shin Jae-hyo, a famous pansori composer in the Gojong era of Joseon, composed a short song for his disciple Chen Caixian. The movie is also expected to tell the story of the master and apprentice. Pansori is a traditional Korean narrative rap art. Suzy Bae will play the role of her disciple Chae Sun in the film, while the role of Chae Sin’s master will be played by the A-list actor Ryu Seung Ryong. Chen Caixian was born in a poor family and unfortunately ended up in a brothel. She broke the prejudice of the times that only men could sing pansori and grew up to be the first female famous singer in North Korea. Song Qingchen will play Jin Sejong, a vocal teacher and drummer at Pansoli Academy in the film, who will help the protagonist in trouble. Filming will start in the second half of the year and will be released next year
