Synopsis of Vita and Virginia

The film is set in London in the 1920s, and the plot will focus on the love affair between Woolf and West: Virginia Stephen married Leonard Woolf in 1912, and then met the upper-class socialite and writer Virginia Stephen. Tower Sackville West - Wife of Harold Nicholson. Starting in 1922, they began a decade-long romance, maintained a sexual relationship, and exchanged many love letters and diaries. After their romance ended, the two remained good friends until Woolf's death in 1941. This will be the second feature film directed by Chanya Button since "BurnBurnBurn" in 2015. The script is written by Erin Atkins, based on the stage play of the same name she starred in (first performed in London in 1993 and landed on Broadway in 1994). The adaptation will also be based on the love letters between Woolf and West. Eva Green and Andrea Riseborough had previously been approached for the role of Woolf, but subsequently dropped out.
