Synopsis of The Cable Guy

Real estate manager Steve Corwicks (Matthew Broderick) was forced to move to a new building because of an unpleasant incident with his girlfriend, Robin Harris (Leslie Mann). Apartment. Soon, cable TV installer Du Zhe (Jim Carrey) came to visit. Du Zhe behaves eccentrically, but he is quite humorous and cheerful. The two became good friends and even went out to play together. Under Du Zhe's guidance, Steve successfully won back his girlfriend's heart. However, Du Zhe seemed to be too enthusiastic. He became more and more involved in Steve's life, making the latter gradually irritable and uneasy. Steve began to consciously stay away from this abnormal guy, and Du Zhe, who felt abandoned by his friends, secretly developed a desire for revenge... This film won the 1997 Children's Choice Award for Most Popular Actor (Jim Carrey).
