Synopsis of A Man and a Woman

She, Anne Gauthier (Anouk Aimée) is a widow who raised her daughter alone. She was a film cameraman, and her husband was a stuntman who unfortunately died while filming a scene. She travels from Paris to Deauville every week to pick up her daughter, who attends a school in Deauville. He, Jean-Louis (Jean-Louis Trintignant) is a widower who raised his son alone. He was a racing driver who committed suicide after a car accident in which his wife thought he had died. He also goes to Deauville every week to pick up his son. One day, Anne missed the last train back to Paris after sending her daughter to school, so she met Jean-Louis. Jean-Louis drove Anne home, and the two agreed to pick up the child together the next week. The next Sunday, the two spent some quality time together with their two children.
