Synopsis of Born Free
The story begins in 1937, when young Joey (Virginia McKenna) went to Kenya for vacation. In the tropical forests of Kenya, Joey witnessed a variety of rare and strange animals, and was deeply attracted by these intelligent lives. After leaving Joey, she decisively divorced her husband, married the local game warden George (Bill Travers), and stayed in this magical land. One day, George was attacked by a lioness during his patrol. In order to save his life, George had to shoot and kill the lioness. Later, he found that the lioness had left three unattended lion cubs, so George killed them. Two relatively healthy ones were sent to the zoo, and the remaining one was frail and left to Joey's care. The couple named it Elsa. In this way, Elsa became their real child.
