Synopsis of A Matter of Life and Death

During World War II, the plane driven by Peter (David Niven) of the Royal Air Force was about to crash, and his comrade Bob had died. He contacted the military radio station in Boston, USA, and told June (Kim Hunter), a female soldier on the radio station, his last words. Then Peter jumped out of the plane without a parachute, landed on the sea, and unexpectedly survived. He even met June on the beach when he woke up, and the two fell in love. The dead Bob went to heaven and could not wait for Peter. The Kingdom of Heaven sent Administrator No. 71 to the human world to retrieve Peter, but Peter did not want to die. In order to survive, he must win a lawsuit in heaven. He can choose a lawyer. These lawyers are all dead people, such as Plato and Lincoln. Can Peter win this lawsuit and stay in the world with June? How about staying together forever?
