Synopsis of Ge Chu

This film tells the love story of a woman who is dealing with several men. The husband of female singer Gertrud (Nina Pens Rode), Gustav Kanning (Bendt Rothe), will become a cabinet minister. Gertrud confessed to her husband that she no longer loves him because he takes work too seriously and ignores his love for her. Gustav asked her if she had a new love, and she admitted it. After that, she left home to meet her lover, the young musician Erland Jansson. The two talked to each other and Gertrud seemed to be able to see a bright future for them. The next day, Gertrud also attended the welcome banquet of the great poet Gabriel Lidman (Ebbe Rode). It turns out that she and Lidman also had a relationship.
