Synopsis of Shine

The film is based on the true story of Australian pianist David Helfgott. David (Alex Rafalowicz), who was born into a Jewish family, has shown extraordinary talent since he was a child. His father, hoping that his son would become a successful actor, forced David to practice piano hard, and even unrealistically asked his son to challenge what was known as "the most difficult piece to play in the world." "Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor". David suffered terribly in the shadow of his father. In order to prevent the family from breaking up, his father tried every means to prevent his son from going out to study. Eventually, father and son broke up. David (Noah Taylor), who has grown up as a young man, went to study at the Royal Academy of Music in England. During this period, "pulling three" was still an unsolved complex in his heart. After intense preparations, he finally walked to the stage to challenge the performance set by his father for him. Climb to the extreme… The film won the 1997 Oscar for Best Actor (Geoffrey Rush).
