Synopsis of The Innocence: Journey to the West
On the top of Huaguo Mountain in Dongsheng Shenzhou, a fairy stone burst open and turned into a stone monkey, who was revered as the Monkey King. In order to find a way to live forever, the Monkey King worshiped Patriarch Bodhi as his teacher and was named Sun Wukong. He also went to the Dragon Palace to get the Ruyi Golden Cudgel and called himself the Monkey King. He made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, disturbed the Peach Fair, overturned the alchemy furnace and refined his fiery eyes, and was later pinned under the Five Elements Mountain by Tathagata Buddha. Five hundred years later, Tang Monk passed by Wuxing Mountain, lifted up the Tathagata's seal, rescued Wukong, and named him Sun Walker.
