Synopsis of Ironweed
On Halloween 1938, in Albany, New York, Francis Phelam, a former major league pitcher and now a drunken street bum, returned with his girlfriend to the place where they grew up. Helen is sick again and lives a poor life with his girlfriend. What is even more shocking is that 22 years ago, Francis Phelam accidentally killed someone, and his child accidentally fell to death. These shadows often haunted Francis Phelam and lingered in his mind. Now that he has returned to the hometown where he grew up, Francis Phelam hopes to start his life again.
