Synopsis of The Shortcut

In a small town in the United States, there is a jungle shortcut leading to Hartley Elementary School, but since the 1940s, few people have passed it. People in the town rumored that there was a vicious and perverted old man in the forest, and that many disappearances were related to him. This road has become a restricted area in the town, and the Hartley family, who have lived here for generations, has become the biggest suspect. High school student Derek Lucas (played by Andrew Seeley) moved to the small town where his grandmother lived with his mother (played by Wendy Anderson) and his younger brother Toby (played by Nicholas Elia) who is still in elementary school. The cheerful Derek quickly met Lisa (Shannon Woodward) and other friends, and became obsessed with the sexy and beautiful school girl Christie (Shannon Woodward). One day, Toby was tricked into taking a shortcut by his classmates. He was frightened by the bloody dead dog and the sinister old man. Seeing his brother's fearful look, Derek became furious. He learned the rumors about the town from his classmates. Curious and angry, he decided to break into the jungle to find out...
