Synopsis of A Secret Love
"A Secret Love" tells the incredible love story between Terry Donahue and Patty Henschel, which spanned nearly 70 years. Terry played in the Women's Professional Baseball League, and her experiences were adapted into the hit movie "The League of Legends." But the film doesn't tell the true stories of women who have spent almost their entire lives closeted. The documentary traces Terri and Patty's first meeting, their careers in Chicago, coming out to their conservative families, and their doubts about entering into marriage. Faced with the challenges of aging and illness, their love becomes more loyal as they move into old age.
