Synopsis of The Human Beast

The film is adapted from the novel "The Clothed Beast" by Zola, the master of naturalistic literature. It describes the train driver Jacques Lantier who was born in an alcoholic family. As a result, he is always in a trance and thinks that he is born with a bad race. One day, he is on the train. He accidentally encountered a murder. He had strange thoughts and hid the fact from the police that he saw his colleague Hou Bao's wife Saverina at that time. After that, he repeatedly excused them in the subsequent police inquiries. The Hou Bao couple became friends with him, and what was even more extraordinary was that Lantier fell in love with Saverina. In order for them to be together, he even almost murdered Hou Bao under Saverina's temptation. His cowardice Let Hou Bao escape, but the torment of lust made it impossible for him to get rid of his relationship with Saverina. However, he learned that the girl had a new love. Jealousy made him lose his mind. After a dance, he killed the girl and escaped. The next morning, he boarded the train. What fate awaited him? !
