Synopsis of We Own the Night

In Brooklyn, New York in 1988, Bobby (Joaquin Phoenix) manages a large club for the Russian businessman Bashayev. His girlfriend Amanda (Eva Mendes) and he love each other deeply, and their career and love are quite smooth, but Bobby Bobby's family made him feel resistant. The professional environment of his father, the New York Police Chief, and his brother Joseph (Mark Wahlberg), who had recently been promoted to captain of the anti-narcotics team, made him bored and intolerable. He refused Joseph's request for assistance in the investigation without hesitation and allowed the drug lord Wattin to operate in his club. Joseph's raid on the club angered Bobby and also brought revenge from Wattin. Witnessing his brother who was seriously injured by Wattin, Bobby could no longer stay out of the matter.
