Synopsis of Bellbird

The warmth of the New Zealand comedy film "Friends for All Seasons" is like a coincidentally lit red furnace. Hamish Bennett, who is also a teacher and is making his feature directorial debut, extended his short film "Ross & Beth" through "Friends of Four Seasons" to re-explore the silent and closed world of farmers in New Zealand's North Island. When his beloved wife passed away suddenly, Ross divided things with his son, who was just like him and was not good at words. He hoped that his son could inherit the family business, but his son, who was not good at farming, had a job that he loved. Rachel House, who plays Bruce's boss, performs brilliantly, and the young Kahukura Retimana, who plays the Maori boy who loves his country, also performs brilliantly, which perfectly complements the film's protagonists, father-son duo Marshall Napier and Cohen Holloway, who play opposite each other with great appeal. The rural scenes shot and the livestock that steal the spotlight are also particularly touching under the delicate touch of photographer Grant McKinnon.
