Synopsis of A Chinese Tall Story

Tang Seng (played by Nicholas Tse) went through a lot of hardships on the way to obtain scriptures. They came to Yarkand City and were attacked by a tree demon during the warm welcome ceremony. All his apprentices were taken away, leaving Tang Seng alone. In this town, Tang Seng met Meiyan (Charlene Choi), an ugly but lively lizard demon. Meiyan fell in love with Tang Seng at first sight. Tang Seng was moved by Meiyan's temperament, and both of them seriously violated the rules of heaven. Tang Seng discovers that Meiyan has hidden an alien (Fan Bingbing), and Meiyan becomes a love rival with this beautiful alien. It turns out that Meiyan is not a fairy, but also a visitor from outer space. Meiyan rescued Tang Seng's apprentice regardless of safety, and was willing to accept the interrogation of the heavenly court. In order to rescue poor Meiyan, Tang Seng actually picked up a big knife...
