Synopsis of Madras Cafe

Director Shoojit Sircar's new film "Madras Cafe" is a film about Indian intelligence agents, set in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Just after the Indian peace forces retreated, a certain agent was sent to Sri Lanka to carry out the task of secretly destroying the reactionary forces of the civil war. Caught in the middle of melee and political intrigue, he encounters a British journalist and defuses an assassination attempt. This film was shot by photographer Kamaljeet Negi using ALEXA. Filming locations included Malaysia, Thailand, London and India. Nike recently accepted an exclusive interview with ARRI and shared his shooting experience.
