Synopsis of Another Woman

In order to write, philosophy teacher Marion (Gena Rowlands) rented a studio. One day, Marion, who was concentrating on her work, heard conversations coming from the exhaust vent. It turned out that there was a psychological clinic next door. By some strange combination of circumstances, Marion began to eavesdrop on what the patients were saying to the doctor. The patient is a woman named Hope (Mia Farrow). Through Hope's talk, Marion fell into deep contemplation. In the eyes of everyone, Marion is a successful woman with a successful career and a happy marriage, but only she knows what kind of emotions and thoughts are suppressed in her heart every day. Hope's painful confession aroused her desire to examine herself, and the reunion with her old friends made Marion feel more and more that her wealthy life was already riddled with holes. Should we make mistakes or start over? Standing at the crossroads of her life at the age of fifty, Marion was confused and didn't know what to choose.
