Synopsis of Suspicion

The handsome Johnny Escath (Cary Grant) meets the shy and beautiful girl Lina Ames Laidlaw (Joan Fontaine) on a train. The simple and kind-hearted Lina was quickly attracted to this charming man, but she didn't know that Johnny was actually a gambling addict. After learning that Lina was a rich lady, Johnny tried his best to pursue her. Soon, the two got married. However, during their honeymoon, Lina discovered many suspicious things about Johnny, and she began to fear that her husband would kill her for property. Faced with Johnny, who has ulterior motives, Lina, who is always anxious, is afraid that she will be the next victim. The 1941 suspense film "Mystery" directed by the famous suspense thriller master Alfred Hitchcock won the 14th Academy Award for Best Actress in 1942 and was nominated for Best Picture and Best Score.
