Synopsis of My Neighbors the Yamadas

There are five members of the Yamada family living in Yamano City: the head of the family, Yamada Takashi, is in his late teens and is an employee of the sundry department of a small company. He is a bit of a chauvinist and often quarrels with his wife over trivial matters, but is overwhelmed by his mother-in-law. Alon's wife Songzi is the same age as her husband and is a full-time housewife. She is busy every day and takes care of everyone.
