Synopsis of Only Yesterday

Taeko is 27 years old this year. She asked for ten days of leave from the company to go to the countryside to enjoy the rural life she had longed for. Since then, she has often thought about her fifth grade year. Along the way, she kept thinking about the past events that happened in fifth grade. When she arrived at her destination, she was greeted by a country boy, Junxiong, who was 2 years younger than her. She started living as a farmer and enjoyed it. She shared with Junxiong every detail of her childhood. The scenery she saw in the countryside brought back beautiful memories. The two get along very happily and feel the passage of time together. The night before she was to leave, Toshio's grandmother actually suggested to Taeko that she marry Toshio, which immediately brought back Taeko's memories...
