Synopsis of The Sum of All Fears

In the Fourth Middle East War in 1973, an Israeli fighter plane carrying nuclear weapons was destroyed in Syria, and the nuclear bomb was subsequently buried by time and sand. However, 29 years later, the nuclear bomb was dug up by a civilian couple, sold to arms dealers at a low price, and finally sold to terrorists who were planning a nuclear explosion at a prosperous gathering place in the United States and married them. It is a disaster for Russia, with the intention of provoking a new round of world war. When the young and alert CIA intelligence analyst Jack Ryan (played by Ben Affleck) met with the new President of Russia, he vaguely felt that something was fishy, and quickly gained insight into the terrorists' terrifying conspiracy through his eyes. However, Ryan's judgment failed to be taken seriously by the bureau. When he was unable to do anything, he gained the trust and cooperation of William Cabot (Morgan Freeman), a senior and wise old analysis consultant. Can the two of them find the nuclear bomb before the terrorists attack and prevent this devastating tragedy from happening? The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by American military writer Tom Clancy.
