Synopsis of The Mechanic

A stable mentality, exquisite techniques, and the ability to kill people invisible are the essential qualities of a top killer. Arthur (Jason Statham) has been in the industry for many years. With the help of his former partner Harry (Donald Sutherland), he has become an excellent killing machine. Arthur received a new mission, the assassination target was Harry. Although Arthur couldn't bear to take action, after it became clear that Harry was bound to die, he finally decided to send Harry off personally. Harry's son Steve (played by Ben Foster) decides to study with Arthur in order to avenge his father. Under Arthur's training, Steve gradually mastered the skills necessary to be a machinist, and worked with Arthur to complete one assassination mission after another. Although Arthur never told Steve who killed Harry, Steve still knew that Arthur was responsible for his father's murder, and the flame of revenge gradually rose in Steve's heart... This film is a remake of the 1972 film of the same name (translated as "Dragon, Tiger, Iron, Steel"), with an investment of approximately US$40 million.
