Synopsis of Death Race

In 2012, the economic situation in the United States deteriorated and the crime rate increased sharply. Prisons that had gradually become privatized were doing whatever they could to make huge profits, so the "Death Race" competition came into being. The former excellent racing driver Frank (Jason Statham) participated in a workers' protest at the factory. As a result, someone sneaked into his home that night and killed his wife, but Frank was wrongly imprisoned as the murderer. Warden Hennessy (Joan Allen), organizer of the Death Race, asks Frank to replace the dead masked racing driver Frankenstein, and promises that he will be free as long as Frank wins another race as Frankenstein. Frank and his navigator Case (Natalie Martinez) enter this crazy game of driving a modified car and encountering death at any time. However, due to his absent-mindedness, Frank gets off to a bad start. Faced with the threat and frame-up of Hennessy, Frank has to give it a try...
