Synopsis of Camille
Marguerite, a prostitute in Paris, makes an appointment with Baron Whoville but meets the young man Armand. The two later met in a bookstore. Ma learned that Armand sent flowers to visit his patients every day, and was deeply moved to invite him to the birthday party. Armang saw her forced smile and felt even more pity for her, so he expressed his love to her. When the baron came back that night, Armand was rejected. Regretfully, he scolded her for being ruthless and asked his father to sponsor his trip abroad. Ma rushed to see him and confided in each other. Ma agreed to break up with the Baron and follow him to the countryside to recuperate. Armand's father persuades Ma to give up Armand. Ma since she truly loves Armand, and considers him, she tricks Armand into breaking up with him. A few months later, Armand met the Baron and Ma in a casino. Unexpectedly, Armand won a big win and asked Ma to go with him. Ma refused. Armand was furious and insulted him, and then dueled with the baron. The baron was injured, and Armand fled in fear of guilt. Ma loved Armand deeply, but refused any help. Her illness worsened, and when Armand learned the truth, Ma had passed away.
