Synopsis of A History of Violence

How does violence affect the order of life and people in various situations, wandering the line between good and evil? Tom (Viggo Mortensen) is an ordinary head of a family in a small town, opening a small shop to make a living. One day, he encountered gangsters who came to rob him. In order to save his friend's life, Tom fought hard and killed the gang of uninvited guests. His bravery and martial prowess became a hot topic among people. Media reports on this matter also exposed Tom's family in the public eye. Whether this incident changed the original Tom or brought Tom back to his original self, no one can tell - because Tom's past gradually surfaced.
