Synopsis of Michael Collins

The script of the film was completed in 1983, and the director worked hard for 12 years before putting it on the screen. The story begins with the failure of the Irish armed rebellion in 1916 and the execution of the rebel leader. Michael Collins, a young rebel commander, was also imprisoned. After his release, he and Harry Brand launched another rebellion. This time, they abandoned a large-scale armed uprising and instead carried out guerrilla warfare and assassination operations. During an operation, Collins was injured and was nursed by Katie, who gradually developed a relationship. Later, Collins was forced to abandon the assassination operation and conduct large-scale operations, which severely damaged the IRA. Collins was assassinated while serving as the chief negotiator of the ceasefire.
