Synopsis of Partners

CBS's 2012 fall new drama "Straight Friends" tells the story of a pair of straight Joe (David Krumholtz) and gay Louis (Michael Urie) who grew up together. After a strong friendship and a successful business partnership, Joe proposes to his girlfriend and their worlds are turned upside down in a sitcom. The two best friends have a relationship that lasts longer than any of their romances. Although Louis has a tall nurse boyfriend, Wyatt (Brandon Routh), when Joe was about to propose to his current girlfriend, jewelry designer Ali (Sophia Bush), he was accidentally ruined by Louis. The four people are like three couples, and the relationship between the partners is ambiguous and difficult to understand... The plot of "Straight Friends" is derived from the real-life relationship between producers David Kohan and Max Mutchnick: the two have been in love since high school and became good friends after graduation.
