Synopsis of Kajaki: The True Story
In September 2006, a three-person reconnaissance team from Pallas set out from their outpost overlooking the Kajaki Reservoir in southern Afghanistan to participate in the fight against the Taliban's al-Qaeda organization. As they were crossing a dry riverbed, one of them stepped on a landmine that had been left behind during the Russian occupation some 25 years earlier. His comrades rushed to his side, only to find themselves surrounded by an unknown number of mines, with every step they took threatening serious injury or even death.
