Synopsis of Persecuted

John Luther (played by James Remar) is a famous clergyman who is regarded as a thorn in the side of the religious reformers. A government congressman kidnapped Luther and charged him with killing an innocent girl. For a time, Luther became the target of everyone's persecution. In order to clear his grievances, Luther managed to evade police surveillance and started acting alone. He must battle wits with a group of military personnel who try to destroy the evidence that Luther was framed. From a priest turned fugitive, Luther vows to uncover the truth and find the girl's real killer.
