Synopsis of Runaway Bride

Ike (Richard Gere) is a columnist, and his wife is his immediate boss. However, this did not bring him much good luck. On the contrary, after divorcing his wife because of his inconsistent personality, Ike became even more depressed because of this relationship. By chance, Ike heard in a bar a story about a Maryland woman Maggie (Julia Roberts) who ran away when she stepped on the red carpet three times. He was deeply interested in the matter and wrote a column about it. When Ike went to the field to interview locals, he did not expect that people were generally angry at his actions. The protagonist Maggie, who was about to step on the red carpet for the fourth time, was so embarrassed after reading Ike's column that she escaped for the fourth time. Maggie believed that Ike had harmed her and decided to retaliate in kind.
