Synopsis of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
Transvestite performers Balina (Terence Stamp) and Mickey (Hugo Weaving) reunited after the death of a good friend. Midge got a performance opportunity in a city in central Australia and invited Balina to go with her, along with Felicie (Guy Pearce). In order to realize her dream of "Queen of the Desert", she asked for a partner and borrowed a modified bus as a means of transportation. The three of them embarked on a journey in full swing. The elderly Bailina kept secret of the past, and had many trivial quarrels with the young and restless Felicity. Midge was caught in the memories of her marriage from time to time. They put on a show of coquettishness in the towns they passed along the way, and received many surprised looks, and of course some approval. Because of an breakdown, the repairman Ba, who had an unforgettable memory of Bailina's past performances, was able to join their journey. Everyone finally arrived at their destination. Although the audience was not very enthusiastic, Mickey finally saw his son, and Bailina decided to be with her father... The film won the 1995 Oscar for Best Costume Design and many other awards.
