Synopsis of The Book Thief

In Germany in 1939, a 9-year-old girl Liesel and her brother were forced to be sent to a foster family in the outer suburbs of Munich. Unfortunately, my 6-year-old brother died on the road. After the deserted funeral, Liesel accidentally got her first book, "The Gravedigger's Manual." This will be one of the 14 books that bring her endless comfort. She was a lonely child. Her father was branded a communist and was taken away by the Nazis; her mother subsequently disappeared. With the help of her adoptive father, who played the accordion, she learned to read. Despite her hard life, she discovered something more irresistible than food - books. She couldn't help but start stealing books. Liesel, this poor girl who was called the "Book Thief" by Death, lived hard in war-torn Germany, and incredibly helped the same suffering people around her.
