Synopsis of I Saw the Devil

Young police officer Kim Soo Hyun (played by Lee Byung Hun), who works for the National Intelligence Bureau, is about to get married to his beloved girl Zhu Yan. However, on a snowy night, Zhu Yan, who was driving home alone at night, was brutally murdered and dismembered. Xiuxian was so distraught that he found photos of the four main suspects and began to independently track down the murderer. After some investigation, the target was finally locked on the middle-aged uncle Zhang Jingzhe (Cui Minzhi) who chartered a car for a certain college. Zhang had a rough life and an extremely twisted personality. He often attacked women returning at night and killed them mercilessly. Soo-hyun found Jang's stronghold and brutally punished him, but ultimately showed mercy. Zhang, who was lucky enough to survive, inspired all his bestiality, and a battle between beasts and beasts became increasingly fierce... The film also became the first commercial film in South Korea to be restricted from release because some scenes were too bloody.
