The Confession L'aveu

The Confession L'aveu

Synopsis of The Confession

This film is adapted from an autobiography and tells the story of a purge movement in the Czech Republic in the early 1950s. The protagonist was falsely accused of treason and faced the pain of whether he should bear this unwarranted charge for the benefit of the organization. The acting in the film is very good, but there is a lot of dialogue, and the story has no emotional sublimation. It still has value as a living historical textbook. The 28th Golden Globe Awards (1971) Movie Category - Best Foreign Language Film (Nominated) The 24th British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (1971) United Nations Award (nominated)
