Synopsis of Mama

The mothers of a pair of girls, Victoria Dizon (Megan Charpentier) and Lily Dizon (Isabelle Nélisse), were killed by their father. The father immediately committed suicide and left his two daughters Abandoned in the woods. Five years later, they were found in extremely poor condition, lonely and hungry. They were afraid and resistant to all physical contact. No one knew how they survived in such a lonely environment. Uncle Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and his girlfriend Annabel (Jessica Chastain) adopted them, and their originally peaceful life was broken. In the darkness, there is always a shadowy ghost, and this ghost who wants to kill them, the two girls call her: Mom. This film is the feature film debut of Spanish director Anders Muschietti and is a remake of his 2008 short film of the same name.
