Synopsis of Hair

Claude (John Savage), a young man born in Oklahoma, left his hometown and planned to join the army. By chance, he met four hippie friends George (Treat Williams), Raphael, Wolf and Jenny. They took drugs and slept on the street together. Claude fell in love at first sight with Sheila (Beverly D'Angelo), a girl from a wealthy family. In order to make the two meet, George led several friends to have a banquet at Sheila's house, and was thrown into the police In prison, George was able to raise money after being released on bail. His friends in prison were unwilling to cut off their long hair and cause trouble. After the five were released from prison, they participated in an anti-war rally. Claude and Sheela sparked a love affair, but the next day, Claude entered the military camp to prepare for the Vietnam War. Sheila, George and others drove thousands of kilometers to visit Claude. On the eve of the army's expedition, the identities of Claude and George were reversed... The film won the 1979 David Diello Award for Best Director and Best Score.
