Synopsis of Kansas City

The story takes place in the 1930s, when the United States was experiencing the Great Depression, the people were depressed, and Kansas City was filled with gambling, prostitution and other criminal activities. O'Hara's husband Johnny is a small gangster who was detained by the local boss Sean because he committed a crime. In order to rescue her husband, O'Hara took the risk of kidnapping Caroline, the wife of a local politician, hoping to force her politician husband to use his network to prompt Sean to release Johnny.
