Synopsis of Going My Way

The story takes place in the Church of St. Dominic, which has a rich history. The person in charge here is a priest named Keith (Barry Fitzgerald). Keith has spent many years in this position. Forty-five years. Keith was already old, and his thinking had gradually failed to keep up with the trend. Fewer and fewer believers came to listen to his sermons, and the church soon fell into a crisis of being unable to make ends meet. At this juncture, a young priest named Omani (Bing Crosby) was sent by the church to assist Keith. For this lively and funny young man, Keith, who is stubborn and mature, certainly doesn't like him. However, Omani still goes his own way and makes everyone feel like spring breeze with his warm and easy-going style. Over time, Omani subtly changed Keith's mind and helped the church raise funds for reconstruction and save the ancient altar.
