Synopsis of Crazy Heart

The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by American novelist Thomas Cobb. Bad Blake (Jeff Bridges) is an alcoholic, down-and-out blues country singer. While performing in Santa Fe, the capital of New Mexico, he met Santa Fe newspaper reporter Qin (Maggie... Maggie Gyllenhaal (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal). On the verge of bankruptcy, Byrd rushes to Phoenix to open a concert for his old student, the new country star Tommy Sweet (Colin Farrell). After the concert, Baird was in a car accident on the way from Phoenix to Santa Fe. He recuperated at Qin's house, and the two gradually fell in love. Baide started writing songs again and confided his heart to his long-time friend Wayne (Robert Duvall). Everything seemed to be going in the right direction.
