Synopsis of Page Eight

This film is the closing film of the Toronto Film Festival. Johnny Worricker (Bill Nighy) has worked diligently but steadily in MI5 (Military Intelligence 5) for many years. Until one day, his best friend and boss Benedict Baron (Michael Gambon) died suddenly and mysteriously. The only clue was a puzzling document left behind by him during his lifetime. When Johnny read these files, he was deeply shocked by the contents. It revealed many inside stories and even had the ability to shake the entire MI5. Because of Benedict's death, Johnny was forced to leave his job, and his only goal was to unravel the truth of the incident and find out the real cause of his friend's death. At the same time, Johnny's new neighbor, the beautiful Nancy (Rachel Weisz) seems to have different interests and concerns about him. Who is Nancy's true identity? Can Johnny really discover the real answer on his own?
